Title: Wiper Upgrade?

Hi I just picked up a 1980 GMC 4X4, truck is great, but only problem i have is the windshield wipers are real slow.  I have a slide switch on the dash and click it right over, and they are just SLOW.  Curious if there is an upgrade for when i get into a real downpour.  Also i think my fluid pump might be burnt out or sumthing because it doesnt seem to pump out any fluid????? how do you test them?

If it isn't intermittant wipers, it will have only 2 speeds, low and high.  Are you missing one of the speeds and it only moves real slow?
