Title: Light problem

My brother-in-law has a 74 chevy 1 ton carhauler and he says 1 headlight is brighter than the other and when he turns on the headlights on the taillights go. Any suggestions tks?

Sounds like he has a poor ground connection either at the light or there after.

That's what I was thinking will have to trace the wires. Tks for help
