I am restoring a 1976 K10 Scottsdale stepside shortbed. It had an OEM bucket seat package and special striping layout. RPO Codes associated with this are as follows: (9G4...STEPSIDE PROMOTIONAL) and (Z62...SCOTTSDALE EQUIPMENT)
Does anyone have details on the (9G4 & Z62) codes?
The seats are missing from this truck and the striping will need replacement. Blazer/Jimmy seats are the same, but bracketry/adjusters differ. Does anyone know of resources/availability of OEM pickup seats/console complete, or pickup-only bracketry/hardware, or striping kits?
Does anyone have production statistics for this 1976 model (CK10703...4WD, Sportside, 6.5') or code (9G4...Stepside Promotional)? Edited by: 76ScottsdaleZ62 at: 11/28/06 3:28 pm

Lower intermediate trim (Option code Z62)
One step above the Base. I came with color keyed floor mat (some had carpeting in special cases), choice of cloth or vinyl upholstery, a little more insulation than base, woodgrain or chrome trim on the door panels, and no headliner.
Does you paint scheme look like this:

Finding factory pickup bucket Seat brakets are not going to be easy, and if you find them, they aren't going to be cheap. You can use Suburban bucket seat brackets and modify them for the pickup though.
As far as striping kits, I don't know of anyone that make anything but the Indy series, and I don't know if the even do anymore. This is their website: www.graphikconcepts.com/

A good body man can paint the same stripes on if you cant get them. Or have a vinyl place reproduce them.

Chris,
Thanks for the lead on Suburban seat brackets. I had figured they would resemble the Blazer/Jimmy assembly, so didn't give it any thought. I looked at one today and see what you indicated regarding the adjusters needing modification at the trailing end, but I can work with them. The floor shape differs there too, and originally the passenger seat was fixed/nonadjustable. The Suburban passenger seat does adjust, but I don't think the customer will be too disapointed by that.
The brochure photo's you provided are helpfull too. The unit we have resembles the orange stepside displayed at the bottom left of the arangement, only in blue, and 4x4.
Do you know what, if any production statistics are available for this truck? We would like to find out how rare this is as a: (Model-CK10703-Stepside, 4x4, 6.5'), with an RPO code: (9G4-Stepside Promotional)

You need to the front mounts for the buckets also from the burb.

Unfortunately I don't have any statistics on how many were made. The were availible for many years. If you have one, I would consider it fairly rare, but I wouldn't expect a huge resale value.

They can be found on any bucket seat equipped Suburban.

The come from a stock bucket seat equipped pickup truck, or you can get them from a Suburban with buckets....
-
As Chris mentioned, factory bucket seats and brackets are somewhat hard to come by. I see them now and again on eBay, but all the ones I have purchased have come up locally or I have found them at wrecking yards.
Too bad you weren't looking two months ago, I sold my second set on eBay for $200...seats, brackets, and center console. I thought the buyer got a good deal.
Alex, welcome to the forum...I too like your truck(s)...I was glad to add them to the Readers Rides section. :)

Right, and I would of paid that too. So I need to start looking in junk yards for a Suburb 73-87 are the years to look for?
