Title: What Colot to paint my block....

I am pulling out my engine and have been kind of tossing the idea around in my head of painting the block chevy blue. it was orange org. but my truck is orange/ so it might match or it might not stick out as much[/url][/img]
i was thinkin blue might stick out a little bit more but i dont kno. i cant quite decide so i thought i would ask

its not leting me edit it but the engine is a 350 with chrome valve covers,air cleaner and alum. inatke and edel. carb if that effects ur opinion on color ne

Orange and blue just don't go together. Paint the engine the same color as the truck or a neutral color like black, silver, grey, or even red would go nice with orange but not blue!:lol

:rolleyes  i dont know about the orange not goining with blue- my interior on my orange truck is blue and i kno it sounds like a bad combination but atcually its pretty sweet.. i dont kno keep ur ideas coming

Paint it blue if you think you'll like it. You look under the hood more than anyone else so what important is feeling good when you pop the hood and look into your engine bay.;)

Chevy orange is an awesome color.I painted my boat block cast iron gray and it looks cool.

ORANGE... GM blue is too light, if it were to be blue, ford dark blue would be best... just throw the cans in the neighbor's trash to hide your shame afterwords.

Blue belongs on the Fords, not on the Chevy's.

BTW, that's the blue on the air breather screw that I had on the engine in my '79.

i think u guys talked me out of blue
i m probly gonna go orange like she was orginally :D
but i might get a wild hair to paint it blue to see wut itd look like :lol  but more than likely orange

Blue is for Chevy as well...my 79 had a blue engine originally....well, imagine the grease not being on it.
