My son loves his truck... this is the only photo that has actually made it this far ..the others seem to have eaten the camera

yep brings a tear to my eye. At the ripe old age of 13 I became the proud owner of a 77 chevy silverado short wide bed. It had an unoriginal 283, auto, dual exhaust. I would just sit in that thing and pretend to drive it until I was actually old enough to drive it. Encourage him to work on it, fix it up. Make it a father/son project. He'll remember those moments for years to come.

I was 14.  Mine ran but had a dead cam.  No floor on pass side, and no power brakes.  Also had riveted on corners and rockers and tow gouges down each side.  That was my baby... should have never sold her.
