I have the opposite problem in my 1980 GMC.
The high beam (blue) indicator rarely works.  About once a month, it decides to work properly.
What gives?

Possibly the high/low beam selector switch?

Cavity 11 energizes the high beam indicator through the dimmer switch. Do the high beams turn off? Do you have the 4 headlight system?

I've had several of these trucks, and always had issues with the blue indicator light/bulb not working or coming on intermittedly. I wish it would work so I'm not shining my brights at someone.
