Title: 79 gmc
Post by: barneyb1 on December 07, 2006, 07:11:00 pm
Im new on here , Ive had this truck for a few years using it to haul trash , sending it to the dump with an employee i got the call, its broke down . So I have it towed back the the shed ,still full of trash just knowing it something big . So i let it sit for two years , finally i take it to my mechanic and told him to fix it if its not over $500 .  So i trust him and he calls with the magic number $148 . This truck was my brother in laws brand new , then my father in law had it to haul a lawn mower , then i took it over. Im glad i didnt trash it . I have lost my 93 gmc 4x4 to my son for the business , and I get to drive my work van . But this truck has got into my blood and I want to drive it . We need to do a lot to it and now its like a sickness . Maybe its a family thing . Just think I had people want to give me $200 for it . Is it wrong I even like the six popper?

There's nothing wrong with that....it does kind of get in your blood.   They can have those new trucks.......for $30k.

However, two years sitting is a  long time....hopefully your carb, gaskets, brakes, fuel pump don't need replacing. Those things can dry out.
