Title: Getting Parts gathered up for new project
Post by: joesgarage71 on March 23, 2007, 07:55:00 pm
I traded a S-10 for this truck(I only payed $200 for it.

I'm going to use the dump set up(Transmission/PTO tank and two stage cylinders)for my 75 one ton.
For the last two days I have been striping the doner truck of colunm, front and cab harneses, clutch pedals, trany and the floor hump,PTO and the controls, dump frame and cylinders,Hyd tank and lines, the 3.73 ring and pinion with gov lock and the axles, pretty much everything that was any good on the truck.

Last night I loaded the truck up on the trailer and filled the cab floor with heavy scrap and took it to the crusher this morning and got $459.00(scrap is $190. per ton around here)
I have to reseal the two stage cylinders,do some sand blasting to the dump frame, cleaning and painting of the other stuff to get it ready to install on the one ton frame.I'm going with a 9' flat bed and make some wooden sides for it.

Nice score on the lift. I have a 9'2" flat bed dump on my 79 K30. I have removable wooden sides.

Works real good for a multiple uses!
