Title: Help - Tail lights Don't Work
Post by: wideboots on January 09, 2007, 09:32:00 pm
Just got my 1978 Chevy 1/2 ton step side truck back from the body shop a couple of weeks ago.  I dismantled much of the truck for the paint and body work, dash out, bed off, grille out, interior out of truck, etc.

I finally got to putting the tail lights back on the truck.  They don't work. >:  The brake lights work fine, but the tail lights refuse to work.  I have tried everything I can think of.  Can't find a fuse for the tail lights in the fuse box under the dash.  The head lights work fine too.  Is there a separate fuse for the tail lights or is it included in another circuit?  I can't see how the brake lights can work but not the tail lights.  I have checked all the wiring and it all appears to be in tact.

Please help.  This is driving me nuts. :p

Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks.

Check the grounds under the bed for the taillights, and just cause they are attached doesn't mean a good ground either, new paint may interfer.
