Title: REAR DISC BRAKES???
Post by: 76_Scottsdale on April 24, 2007, 08:25:46 pm
Hi Ya'll,

I've noticed that many of the great pickup projects on here feature a rear disc brake conversion. I have a 1976 Chevy K20, and I'm going to put a rear disc brake conversion on it. First, I had a couple questions. What rotors/calipers can I use that will work on my 14 bolt rear end? And I was also wondering what you guys do for an emergency brake once your drums are gone, as I definitely want to keep an e-brake.

Thanks for any help.

I used the rotors, caliper, pads, brake hose from the front of mine.  1980 3/4 ton.  Any 8 lugs off the front should work.  You can use cadillac rotors for the e-brake.
