ok guys im kinda in a bind i think i have a 84 cab with a 84 wireing. but under the hood its 79. will this work? and if so what do i have to do to get the lights to work right? seeing that im gong from a two head light to four . well thanks alot

Just use the wiring harness from the 84

well see im trying not to because two reasons one its cut up pretty good and the 79 one is still clean and uncut and on the motor. granted i could use the one from the 79 to fix the 84 but it seem like it would be better/ eazyer to use the 79

I went from 2 to 4 headlights on my 82. All I did was cut the 2 pin high beam headlight connector and about 12 inches of wire from a donor truck. One wire is green (the hot wire) and one is black (ground). Then splice this socket into your 2 beam (low and high) headlight wiring. That's all that is to it. Mine works fine.
