ok i've down all the hard work but how do i get the spindles and the ball joints apart.... i've tried prying and tapping, and beating... i have the castle nuts backed to the end of the ball joint bolt but i cat get the spindle to come loose on either side...
and after i do that what do i do step by step to replace the control arm bushings, upper and lower

You need a pickle fork, I have gotten them loose by just using a big phord tool(hammer) and smakin' the side of the spindle where the ball joint goes up through. Keep the nut on there because of the tension of the springs (if your doing the lower ball joint) the uppers I use the fork.

Give it shock treatment. Strike the knuckle where the ball stud goes through at the top and bottom with a 3lb sledge and it will pop right apart. Usually when I swing a hammer I picture my ex's face so I give it quite the impact! :o
