I was driving the 86 the other day and started up a hill and she started to lose power and slow down, gave it the gas and no help. So today I installed new plugs,changed the wires, cap and rotor to some spairs I had, took the module to 2 different parts stores and it checked out(the first store checked it three times to insure it had heat in it) I had taken the cat off two weeks ago so I can rule a pluged cat out,I'm kinda stumped.I have a different Dist, But it has a 7 pin module in and the present dist has a 5 pin. w/vac advance

What do you mean you tested the module to see if it has heat in it? ??? The module is ESD sensitive so be careful.
-Check your fuel filter and carb inlet and other fuel lines for kinks or restrictions.
check and adjust your timing - make sure you have no vacuum leaks etc.

Testing it three times simulates driving conditions(warm to the touch) makes sure there isn't a failure under those conditions. I checked the fuel filter,blew air from the fuel pump inlet line to the tank. Checked for Vacuum leaks and the timing is good. I don't know, maybe the spare set of wires are bad too.It just really seems like there is a ignition problem under load. You get to the top of the hill and it clears up and runs fine. Could the computer be bad?

Well I found the problem, I took all the plug wires of and tested each one and found the bad one. The dawg and I went for a ride and she runs good again.
