I found a front clip for my Blazer about 400 miles from my house. Assuming my friends truck gets 10 miles to the gallon and we use a rough average of $4.00 a gallon for gas, that's approximately $320.00 for gas round trip.
Pulling a car trailer I doubt the truck would get 10 miles a gallon, maybe, it's an old Ford F150. Thought about renting a U-Haul truck also, not sure that's the way to go.
So the other option is to have the thing mounted onto a pallet and have it shipped, has anyone ever done this? What is involved and about how much does something like this cost?
Trying to figure out my best option.
Thanks,
Mike

Call some freight companies and ask them if they offer packing service and how much to pack and ship. They will want the weight and the zip codes from point A and point B. Why do you need a full size truck and car trailer to haul a nose and fenders. A mid size car and snow mobile trailer would do the trick. A small truck with a flat bed on it would work too.

Are you getting it for free? It hardly seems worth all the effort - you can probably buy everything new for what you're gonna end up paying/
