i am currently building a 79 silverado. I am thinking of going with a 3/5 drop as this should not bee too low for a daily driver. My question is will i still be able to control a boat trailer with the truck this low. i know everyone says you can "tow" it just fine but i want to know how it will handle. i have driven an s-10 "towing" a trailer and it was more the other way around. Anyone got any inputs on this setup?

With spindles and a flip kit it will handle the same as it did without the drop...if not better. I wouldn't worry about it one bit. If the truck squats too much with the flip kit, get some helper bags for the rear and you'll be all set.

I used to tow a car trailer with my 84 that had a flip kit. I only bottomed out once on a real bad road going to fast. It did squat a bit but I never had anything heavier than my sister's Nissan truck on the trailer. A boat should be no problem.

so there is still room int there for the little helper bags? Who makes these?

Firestone makes helper airbags:

As long as the springs themselves dont move you have the same space as stock. All you are doing in a flip is moving the axle to the top of the springs.

no such thing as too low ;)

The lower I go the more she likes it! ;D The lower the better, man.

how much does flipping it drop it. say on a 2wd 1500 long bed?

Flip kits are generally 5-6".
