86 C-10 305 Q-Jet 97 K miles need some help Vile.
I'm still having a problems with this truck, It leans out when under load, I had the carb rebuilt and it runs alot better but still lays down under load most of the time, sometimes it runs fine. I can fatten up the carb by raising the primary rods but I don't want to effect the mileage. This Quad has the 2 wire solonoid on the left front(the only wires to the carb) How can I test this? and what switch or sensor makes this solonoid turn on and off?

You have a feedback carburetor on there? Is the MC (mixture control) solenoid plugged in? The ECM duty cycles the MC solenoid to adjust your air fuel ratio. You can adjust the dwell and the air bleed but personally if I were you I would ditch the Feedback carb for a non feedback carb. It's really not worth all of the fuss you are going to deal with. Can you post a pic of your carb and intake so I can see exactly what set up you have?
