This morning I went out to get in my truck to leave and something look out of place as I passed the Burb that I have been working on. I looked back and realized there was a piece of concrete brick stuck in the rear glass. Pics to follow...

#$^%$% vandals... Doesn't it just make your day to know some punk is running around out there laughing about how oh so - funny this prank was?
Bummer man..
-
That sucks man and odds are they'll strike again. Set up a video camera with night vision then when you catch them you can say they vandalized more than they did! Do you have barn doors?
-
Just keeps getting worse everywhere........ >:(
That sucks!
-
man that's terrible, couple years ago a guy and his nephew broke into my garage and stole my cherry picker while I was at work and then were dumb enough to use it out in plain view, I had my initials put on it with punches and easily identified it with that and then pressed charges.
-
Hate to hear about the damage, hope you catch 'em.
-
Sounds like you need to set up some camera's !
With all the computer's you got, you could do that.
Set it up looking down on the truck (overhead and out of touch)
Thanks for the help the other night !!!!
Everything is good now, Internet in the shop is nice ! :o

Sure hate to hear that happened Chris. Does insurance replace the window or does it come outa your pocket?
-
Yeah, It ruined my whole day, then I found one that was laminated (it is the rear quarter window) for $105 and they were supposed to drop it by, but they didn't call me to tell me they werent. So I called 1 hour before they closed to see what was going on and they said they were coming this way. So I drove to get it and got there 1 minute before they closed the doors. They hurriedly got my window and I left.
Saturday I pulled the old window out and pulled the new one out and it had a bullseye on the top of the glass. I didn't remove it and they were rushing me out, but I asked and they said they looked in there an everything was ok. Get this, I had to put the cracked one back in...
The assured me they would replaced it Monday, but I am expect the worse...
I have thought about setting up some cameras. I have some infareds that I got a while back. I really need to replace the bulb that was broken and put a sensor on it...
No problem Tim. Glad you got it running.

I am parting out an 89 barn suburban if you need parts let me know! You can have whatever you want cuz it's goin to the crusher SOON

That sucks Chris, hopefully nothing was stolen. >:(
-
Hey Vile, on your soon-to-be-crushed sub, do you have a door pull strap?
The previous owner's dog went to town on the passenger side door.

hmmm, got a pic? of inside/outside? What are you willing to pull off?
Things that I can think of.. What color is the interior? and what style Mine needs the fronts recovered and could use a cheap fix for now. Got a spare TBI and computer/harness? Fuel sending unit? Overhead console? Center Console? Right (pass) rear barn door? Rear A/C (or general A/C) parts? I might be interested depending on the cost.

Nah, it was laminated glass so it didn't bust. I did have $1500 worth of one piece glass kits in the back, they are moved now..

here is the Father's day present I recieved...
-
The interior is like a grape color I guess. It has a bench seat in the front. I already removed the EFI system however I poked a hole in the gas tank last week to drain out the gas. The sender might still be good. I can pull it out and see. I'll check on the pull straps and such sometime today....

I got the new glass in last night thankfully it didn't rain as it was threatening to all night.

I didn't know styrofoam could do so much damage. Well, it looks like styrofoam.
There are decals you can buy to make your window look like that now, should've left it as it was.
-
do you want the rear glass out of this thing before I bone it? You can have it for free... in fact when I'm about to junk it I'll list all the parts I have left and everything will be free plus shipping to whoever wants anything
-
Are they both good? L&R. Think they can make the journey? I would be interested. Definitely post a Forsale add before you junk it.

Tell me about it. I had it to stew over all day and then had to hurry to the company to get a replacement only to find it had a crack in it...
