Title: frame/cross members

Does anyone know if it is possible to buy new crossmembers for my 77 1 ton? I figured if I could get them new would be little better than chopping them out of another old rusty truck...maybe I'll just build some... any suggestions??

You are pretty much going to have to get it out of another truck.  It isn't availible aftermarket.

I might be wrong, I think you can still get them from GM. you might want to check with your local dealers parts dept.
