Title: 85c-30 to k-30

I have a 85 1 ton that I want to convert the frame to 4x4. What other trucks could be the donner for the crossmembers that I need?? would 1/2 or 3/4 ton work. I will be using a turbo 400 and 205 case. Any help???

Any 81-86 K frame or 87 - 91 V frame should work fine

does it have to be one ton for the crossmembers??? or will 1/2 and/or 3/4 work??

In my opinion, yes.  the C30 frames were taller.  This is the crossmember I am talking about.  As for the spring perches, you could get them off anything.

Thats what I thought also.......Off in search for that elusive 1 ton frame with Dana 60.

Yeah the crossmember by the transfer case is bigger and so is the frame. Or thats how it looked to me this summer when I was looking at a SRW one ton 4x4 in a parking lot in town.
Hey if you need a heavier frame have you ever thought of stacking two half ton frames? would give you a body lift as well.
