Post by: mikewb on June 21, 2007, 12:40:40 pm
my speedometer was messed up . when i went to fix it i found out that the small plastic gear that runs it was chipped off. Can i just replace that gear? or will it just happen again.? what are some causes of this?

Yes you can replace it.  Age is the only thing I can think of that would break one, the cable could kink/bind but I wouldn't think it would break teeth off the gear.
