I replaced all the brake cables with cables from and need to know how to anchor the cable over the rear differential - Please see the picture.

I bought the clip that was in - but it doesn't fit. I could spot weld the clip to the differential top but will the weld heat hurt the differential? I would use only a couple of spot welds.
Any and all help is truely appreciated.

There's supposed to be a bracket that attaches to the top bolt on the meatball cover and has a loop on it that the cable sits in.

What year is your truck? Mine is a 79 and it has individual cables for the left and right that mount to brackets forward of the rearend. I bought them locally. The brand was Raybestos.....really nice pieces.

IS your truck a c10? My 80 has 2 rear brake cables that look like this in the pics once installed.
thanks
pat
p.s. they look pretty long to me in your pic but then again i could be wrong.

The parking brake lines changed in the early 80's to run down the drivers side as his is pictured.
