I have a set of '00 silverado bucket seats w/ the built in seatbelts. They are charcoal grey and are very nice. When i pulled the original bench out of my '85 k10 i realized that the brackets on the buckets made the seat way to tall. Any suggestions? I am not a very good fabricator so i really dont know what to do and the Air Force stuck me in Minot ND where there are no auto interior shops so i am pretty much on my own. If someone wants these more than i do i will sell them for $250 plus shipping.

Now sounds like a good time to learn to fabricate. It's half the fun. The resources are there...know what I mean. Your at an airforce base? I spent my time in the marine corps. I know when I was in there were people around who welded...fabricated...plus, your around aircraft. Aircraft mechs. have a good knowledge of materials and construction. Just ask around. (I know...I happen to be an A&P. I restore and build from scratch P-51'S. I do A LOT of fabrication) And, of course, you have this place. So far this has been the best place on the web I have found for Chevy trucks. Believe me, if you have an idea it can be done!
