I am working on one of my Propane Delivery trucks right now getting ready to paint the barrel and skirts and put it on a new chassis. The guy that works for me has broken two DAs this week sanding it with 80 grit. Well there are places that you just can't get too with a DA so I decided it would be better to Sand Blast those areas. Not trusting him to do it I decided I would take care of the sand blasting myself. I did this for 2 hours today with it being 95 degrees outside. The good news is I think I lost about 5 pounds today.

I have to be outside two days a week from 9-3 washing cars at the lot I work at...no matter how hot it is.
I loose five pounds then I go home, take a crap, and loose another five.

Must be the week for sand blasting / crappy jobs. My project this past and next week. 1977 R model.
About 3 hours of pressure washing, 7 hours of sandblasting, 4 hours metal replacement so far, broke my spot weld cutter so I jumped onto the fiberglass work yesterday, about 8 hours. About 20 hours of itching today and tomorrow!

The left fender turned into a bigger mess as someone had been there before and the patch was all delaminated from on the inside.

Luckily part of my time under the blast helmet was in the shade. temp was about 85, but had a slight breeze, it was bareable.
Tell your boss you shouldn't wash cars outside in the sun. The little water beads are like a magnifying glass and burn spots in the paint.
