I am rebuilding this truck from a basket case.
Dropped the radiator in the truck and went to 2 auto parts stores to get hoses. The hoses are the right length and curves but the diameter is WAY TOO small. I can stick the hose right into the radiator without even touching the opening if I am real carefull. No way it will even come close to stretching to fit.
Ideas?

They switched sizes of some the hoses at one point in time I think. Where did the radiator come out of. Ask to look at an earlier model hose.

I would look at one from an earlier model and see if it is larger. If they have them in stock then it wouldn't cost anything to look.

Try crossing the oem numbers...
Radiator Hose, Upper 14029236 $26.98 Notes
Radiator Hose, Lower 362300 $32.86

I will try that.
I have two radiators. One from my 74 with 454 which is about 4" narrower than the one in the 82. So obviously I wanted to use the larger radiator.
