Title: will a 2wd sub drive line fit?

I've got a 85 crew cab lwb 3\4 ton that i converted to a dropped 1/2 ton swb with a ford 9 in rear. will a 2wd sub drive line fit? And I've heard there is a u joint from Chevy to the 9 in?

You can buy a crossover joint for allot of things. You will need the cross measurement for both directions, and the cap diameter for both sides.
 Not quite sure what you are asking with the suburban drive line fit? The motor and trans from and Chevy car or truck should bolt in, might have to move the crossmember depending on which trans you use and which one was in the truck original.

First off welcome aboard low3+3, are you refering to the driveshaft?  I would start by measuring from the transmission yoke end to the yoke on the rearend.  this will give you a refrence point from which to go.  You can then measure the shaft from a burb and determine if it is the same.

its a 350 and 700r4 from a 90 blazer and i was wondering about the Length of the sub drive line but i guess I'll have to measure and make one

Still too long for a Suburban driveshaft to fit.  The suburban is shorter than a LWB pickup by 2" (129.5" vs. 131.5")  You took 15" out of the wheelbase of the Crew to make it a SWB, so now its wheelbase is 164.5" - 15" = 149.5"  Still to short.  Did it not already have a driveshaft in it?  You can just shorten up the rear portion.

no it was missing the motor trans and driveshaft, but i can get a lwb driveshaft fairly easily and shoten it . pictures coming soon

Does it have a carrier bearing on it and you just need the rear portion?  If that is correct, a LWB would work.
If it doesn't have a carrier, you would have to lengthen a LWB driveshaft not shorten it.

whoever pulled out the trans also took the crossmembers under the cab so i dont know. would it be better to have a carrier bearing instead of one long driveshaft?
