After replacing both balljoints on the one side of my truck I noticed that I cannot keep a grease nipple in the upper balljoint as it interferes with the U-joint. A 90, 45 and a straight are all too large to fit in there permanently, I suppose I could fit a plug in but it would be close. Are there any companies that make upper replacement balljoints for my 81 chev 3/4 front end with a grease nipple in the top or out one side of the body? Or surely there must some way to make greasing it easier.
Thanks for your time.

That seems to be the standard now. My 76 had clearance for them, but my 79's don't. Whenever I repack wheel bearings, I slide out the axle, install zerk, grease, replace with the cap and reassemble. It's a real pain, but I see no alternative.

Thanks for your input. I was hoping to not hear that, but I guess that is what I must do.
Thanks!
