Title: Need Help!! Shift indicator

ok, i just got a 83 gmc high sierra and it doesnt have a shift indicator. i have seen two different kinds of indicators one that has P R N D D 2 1  and  P R N D 2 1. How do i know which kind to get?

Im guessing the first is for a 700R4 tranny and the second is for a TH350/400

So if i have a 700r4 tranny what is the difference in the 2 drive gears? Also does it have automatic overdrive?

One is D with an O around it.  That is the 4th gear which is overdrive.
