I an seriously thinking about buying these wheels

I just wanted to know if anyone has them on their truck, and is 4.5 backspacing correct for an 83 sbw gmc? I also wanted to know what size tire i should run/if you have these what size are you running? My fronts are going to stay 15x 7/8 whatever is on there now..with a 255 60 15 tire.. thanks for help...

I can't speak from personal experience on those wheels, but the factory 8" wheels had 4" BS, if you are going to run them on the back, you can possibly get away with a little more backspacing, but I would measure to be sure.

I bought a set of those from Wheel Vintiques. about $107 each. I cant recall the back spacing that I ordered, but I am running 325/50 on back with 275/60's on front. They came out about the same height. I really like them. looks stock until you get behind the truck and see all that rubber

I took my truck down to Discount Tire, and told the guy what I wanted to do. He asked if I would bring it back later in the week, and he would look at it. He sent 30-45 min crawling under the truck, taking measurements. He let me know how big of a tire I could fit, and with what size wheel. Then he ordered the wheels, (from Wheel Vintiques) and did not add anything to the price. Sold them to me for what they wanted plus shipping. I sat their while he ordered them on the phone. It took the stress off of me for ordering the right wheels. Just an idea

I bought two of those to see if they'd fit the front first, the same wheel - 15x10 with 4.5" backspacing. It is a VERY tight fit, but they clear. I was searching to see if others are running these on the front. The tire size I want to run is 275/60's.

run 295-50-15 ;)
-
I wouldn't mind the extra width of the 295's but those are a bit short for what I want. I think they're almost two inches shorter that the 275/60's IIRC. Does anyone have a pic of 15x10's and 275's all around? From most of the threads I'm reading it seems like 15x8 front and 15x10 rear is more popular.

These are 295-50-15 on 15x10 rims ...... ;)
