Title: What would I need to swap from an 80 front to a 73?
Post by: Slammed80 on July 18, 2007, 10:28:32 pm
I've got an 80 but I don't like having all that chrome in the front and generally prefer the whole look of the 73 so I want to swap it out.  Is this as simple swapping the grill, headlamp bezels, and upper and lower grill moldings or is there more to it?  Thanks in advance guys.

There is more to it.  You need the center grille support, latch, latch header that connects to the core support and all the front end related parts.

Slammed.
the 75-78 didnt have as much chrome as the 79-80 models did, you could just remove the lower chrome trim piece, go with the 75-78 headlight trim bezels and be all set. Then all you`ll need is a thin chrome strip that goes under the grille and on top and you`ll clean it up the way you want.

hope this helps
thanks
