Im absolutely amazed at how many threads there are pertaining to classic Chevy "street trucks" (nothing wrong with that)! Seems everywhere I look has beta on lowering/modding. I know that they had a great suspension system, but is there another reason? Maybe cause Im a newb? ;D

I say lift them to the sky! ;D

People lower their trucks for the same reasons people lift their trucks. It is a personal preference, reflecting the owners taste and style, it also improves their handling (when done right). Not everyone wants to drive around in a stock looking/handling truck. :) :)

I absolutely understand that reasoning (just look at my rigs for heavens sake), but were there more 2wd's produced or have most of the 4wd's been cannibalized throughout the years or some other reason?
-
they are here, generally alot of their post reside in the 4x4 topic.

If it's a 2wd, I want to take it down. If it's a 4wd, I want to lift it. Stock sucks either way. Strangely, though, the 4wd I have I want to convert to 2wd so I can drop it too. lol Scared of heights, I guess.

haha +1 on that! stock just plain sux! lifted trucks are fun but i get to tempted to play a little too much in one! there for i rock 2wd's and drop em 8)

There ya go. Besides, lifted trucks can be a little too top heavy for my driving style. I have an affinity for taking corners on the edge of too fast. lol ;D
