Title: cab work

im currently replacing some rust in my 79s cab. would it be best to dropp the gas tank or should i lay some wet blankets or sometinh over it and not worry about it when i an cutting grinding and welding on the passenger side next to it????

I usually drop the tank if it's in my way. Are you replacing the cab corner?

yeah im doin the cab corner but i was just wondering about trying not to blow up since its still got gas in it or shouldnt i worry about that

I weld cab corners / rockers on all the time without removing the tank. As long as its not leaking it will be fine.

well i dont think im gonna remove it unles it gets in my way
