Title: need wheelbase information for chassis swap

i have a 79 k20 8 bed. i beleive the wheelbase is 131.5.  i have a guy who has a frame and he says its 127.5 longbed and that i am wrong? does he have the frame i need? thanks

Not sure on the measurements, but a long bed is a long bed. The only longer wheel base that I know of is a cab and chassis 1 ton.
 I am also not sure what the measurement is but the 64-72 chassis was a little bit shorter than the 73 and up. He might have an older chassis.

There is nothing with a 127.5" wheelbase on anything from 1973 -1987 (91)  You are right and he is mistaken.  In general, 1960-1972 wheelbases were 2.5" shorter than the 73-87(91) so they wouldn't be XXX.5" long.  This is how they break down.
