Title: NOS

This may be a dumb question but what exactly does NOS stand for when referring to replacement body parts?

Thanks again.

New Old Stock

basically unused parts that have been on the "shelf" for 20-30 years.  They may or may not make "these" parts any more.

Piggybacking off Sgt, NOS also usually means factory GM, Ford, or Mopar parts...new in the package (or opened), but never used.  Aftermarket parts, to me, really can't be NOS.

I agree with bigblock,   NOS =  New Original Stock . original is the keyword for what you are lookin for    ex. GM, FORD,  dodge
