Title: K10 Frame Cracks
Post by: treborjm on August 21, 2007, 08:47:58 am
I have a lifted (4" lift) K10 that has 33 inch tires.  I have the dropped pitman arm installed.  I heard this popping sound the other day when I made a turn.  The only thing that I could find was a crack behind the steering box.  I think that I could get someone to weld it up for me.  A long time ago, there was an aftermarket brace for the frame.  I can't seem to find it anymore.  Does any one know where to find one of those braces?

Thanks,

Rob

Thanks for the link... Is there a picture of that brace?  The one that I am thinking about, attached to a cross member that ran behind the radiator support.

Thanks,

Rob
