Same Ol' rust bucket. Just gotta put a new exhaust on, notch the crossmember my spares bolted to, and ad my shock extensions before I put the shackles and hangers on.

If anybody cares I got everything finished by this most recent sunday.
I realized after lookin and measuring that I needed to make an extension for the drivers side shock on top. When ya install a flip kit the rear axle gets moved back an inch or so. this will make the the distance between the passenger side shock mounts longer and the drivers shorter.
After that I notched the crossmember for the driveshaft and installed a new exhaust. Then came the drop shackles, hangers, and new bushings. The 4 inch drop turned out to be a 2.5 maybe 3 inch drop. No need for the shock extenders yet. When I did the flip I installed drop shocks.
Thinkin about some 1 or 2 inch blocks next. I have plenty of space yet.

It looks like your going to need a couple of replacement panels. :D
-
Your truck needs a pimp my ride session. Where'd ya get that tailgate?
-
I've got all the panels and hinges I need except the fenders. I even got a good tailgate that was up in somebodys rafters for yeeeaars. I gotta put a bed in and move before I get anything done there. Chip Foose can do whatever he wants with my truck but them boyz from Pimp my ride best keep walkin. Next year comes the airride. I just gotta get some valves and switches together.

OMG, ever think about leaving it the way it is? It looks wicked that way. Build/swap a smokin' engine, trany, and rearend, clean stock or custom interior, and you're good to go. Total rat rod/ sleeper.
Edit* Hmmm... 5 moth old thread, didn't see that. lol. Probably got all the new panels on by now, ha.

Sweet...don't see many stepsides with that nose. Whats up with the wood on the bed? IMO you should get rid of that visor.
-
No way I could leave it that way. It'll fall apart eventually lol. The interior was done in one of its previous lives. Somebody put in swivel seats from a mid 70's monte or chevelle or somethin. I'd like to know where they got the aftermarket seat bases, they're made for chevy trucks.
The wood was there when I bought it, I'm thinkin about aluminum diamond plate inside and out of the bed. Maybe in the cab and under the hood too. Hhhmmmm.....Tonnue cover....
The front end is from a diesel something. It was replaced at some point in its life. I'd like to get it back to stock with round headlights.
I dig the visor! Wish I could find a new one like it.
