Title: 89 crew font clip on my 85
Post by: cougarkiller on August 27, 2007, 10:12:24 pm
I recently put and '89 crew cab front clip onto my 85 short box gmc. Too bad the 89 clip is off a chev, but no big deal. Im wondering how hard it would be to instal the 88-98 headlights and turnsignals into it. The reason being is that you can buy the l.e.d turn signals for the 88-98's and the way cooler one peice dual headlights. Just want to update the front end a bit and thought this would do it along with the proper gmc billet grill. Will they work?

Wrong angle, they won't work.  If you got them in there, they would be crooked.

Single headlight as in the base trim?  The grills are different.
You can swap a GMC to a Chevy grille if that is what you are asking.

The look like the same ones on the 81-87 version with only one headlight.

You can get the celebrity headlight assemblies from either the dealership or possible any auto parts store.
