he says it will be a sema quality truck... it will have the airride and wheels already so he said it wouldn be too much in price... now before i spill the beans on how much he is chargin me i want to know how much you would estimate this build to cost
-
$12,500.00?? ???
-
Sounds like the recipe for a nice cover/ feature truck.
As far as the price - remember you cant take it with you and you only live once,
so I say go for it while you can.
Now what would be real nice is uploaded digital photos along the build progress.
I am sure we will all be waiting for the next post.
-
oh yeah progress pics are a definate! i'm just about 5k short of the what the project will cost total but but i cant wait to get it started! the next six months are gonna be WAY too long!
-
How much? 15-20,000
-
he said 15-17k which was a nice supprise to me, i was expectin 20-25k oh and we also decided to do a bodydrop as well to give it a cleaner look. we are going to keep the interior as simple as possible having a smooth classic look and we may ditch the a/c to clean up the look under the hood since it wont be a daily driver... not to mention it will cost me quite a bit less. i'd give anything to just be able to do it now but i really dont wanna take a loan out to do it
-
i hope yours goes better than mine went
-
what went wrong with it?
-
Let's just say I and a few others will never have him do work for us again
-
sound good miketh, ..... BUT MY ROLE MODEL HONOR IS " BUILT NOT BOUGHT " ;D
-
well i'll be helping on the build, but i know squat about paint and body and thats gonna be around 10k of it right there, but things like wiring and drivetrain and mechanics and some fabricating i can do but its alot easier w/ more hands... we talked more yesterday and he said that if i'm goin to be helping alot and doing alot of work then its going to cut back on the cost a bunch.... i dont know if i can wait till spring... i would give anything to dive right into it right now but i have a long way to go $ wise :'(
-
I would have guessed 20 to 25 as well. I would double the E.T.A. to be safe (projects always go over budget and over time), and if things really start going south don't be afraid to pull the project! Good Luck!

I finally got it setting the way I want it...
