Title: Painting Leaf springs??

Post by: Blazin on August 30, 2007, 07:01:34 pm: If you are not planning on sandblasting them I would use a brush. I would also recommend a product called Chassis Saver. It is identical to POR15 but about half the price. Wire brush the heck out of or needle scale them, then brush it on.

Post by: jays2w87 on September 21, 2007, 09:26:32 pm: I ALWAYS paint my springs frame all that stuff. I advise is semi flat or regular flat black. looks awesome and hides alot! Unless you goin for a full restoration and you blasting them like mentioned above. Otherwise if you use a gloss or laqr paint you will see every little pit mark , dimple , and rust welt.
I also I'm guilty of painting a set of tires ....... They were white letter and they just didnt look right.... til I painted them.
