Title: About to buy a Crew Cab SRW
Post by: Captkaos on August 31, 2007, 09:10:34 pm
Well, I went and looked at a 1991 R3500 3+3 today, SRW 350/w OD.  COLD A/C, CD player and 151K on the odod.  I should be purchasing it Tuesday.  Now I need to sell the 1987 R10 I have.

That is the plan.  I won't do it immediately though.  I am hopefully going to make some progress on the Jimmy and the 73-87chevytrucks.com pickup soon.  I hope to have the Jimmy with the TPI running ASAP and hope to get the website truck close (hopefully drivable) in the next couple months.

No pics yet of the Crew, but it the plan goes through they will be here.

Yep Tile after windows.

I have been looking for one for a while.  I found one a while back but it was wrecked and I didn't want to spend what they were asking for it as I felt it was overpriced at $3500.  It was a c20 SRW, no air and no radio..  It was a service truck.

This one is much better and more resonalble.  It will stay a LWB until the other projects are driveable though.

Actually I think I am going to keep it lifted.  If anything I will convert it to a short bed.

Great truck for the transformation to a family vehicle. Has anyone did a stepside version? Maybe even a long bed stepside?

Nice truck. I would like to find one that clean. The truck I'm looking at is a roof and 4 door tops.

That blue truck looks about useless! I think you should convert it to 4x4 and lift it about 8".

Thats the current plan.  I did leave my R10 alone...  :D  I just stripped the interior out and cleaned up the seats, floorpan and seatbelts.  Some one apparently spilt something in the rear floor as the paint is coming off.  I have a can of durabak coming to seal it up and to seal up the rest of the floor.

I am not a 4 door man but the stance is great.  I like the plain look with no trim down the side.  If I ever find a new bed I will remove my trim.  I would really like to make mine into an extended cab, but that is down the road when I build my shop out back so I can tear into it.  My 86 C-10 comes first.
