Title: 73-80? Hood differences

 I picked up a hood from Fla. and it has an extra lip deal in the front is this from a 73-74 truck??

? The earlier hoods didn't have the raised bump in the front is that what you mean?

Not positive but I think 79 was the first year for the raised brow.

Chris is correct, 73-77 is smooth front, 78-80 is raised lip at front.

 yea Chris I got it in FLA. Just looks alittle funny all my other hoods are the 73-77 style.

What year did they stop making the hoods WITHOUT the crumple zone in the middle that so easily converted my ORIGINAL 1978 hoot into a pup tent in fron of my very eyes?  My friend has a 74 and his does not have the crumple zone.
