I wanna do a 3 inch lift on the front and a 2 inch lift on the rear. Billet grill, Cd player, Train Horn, and CB radio with a PA system. So far i have 2 12inch subwoofer and a small amp i want to upgrade the amp to a 1000 watt. New paint after i do some body work.

my truck has an aftermarket sliding rear window. I have the original one piece glass and i put it up to the sliding window and it seems to small. Will it fit?

Not sure about the window, I'd need to see pics.

I personally like those mirrors..they're my 3rd favorite style on these trucks..first and foremost are the stock stainless mirrors, second are the HUGE 4 point flip out towing mirrors, then those.  ;)

I still need to see an actual picture of the new glass being held up against the old glass..

Btw, why do you want a one piece glass? I love my slider..though yours looks like a double slider, and I've heard people have issues with water getting in where the windows meet.

I have the same slider as he does I haven't had any water come in mine (knock on wood) yet. I hate how is is sucured shut though I want to put a better locking system on it, but don't know what to do?

Anyway, Very nice looking truck, can't wait to see the finished product. I like that color too, very interesting.

My slider is a single slider with no latch, but the actual opening is so small, an 8 year old kid could barely squeeze through it. I tried to reach through it to unlock my doors when I left the keys in the ignition once..I was just too lazy to go inside and grab my spare keys..I couldn't even come close to reaching the doors, even with a pair of  12" channel-loks in my hand.

really nice lookin truck!  my truck needs a new latch for the slider, but it's the dual-glass slider that came stock in those trucks...

Rockin you have a Factory Camper Crawl Through Double Slider Rear Window, same as my '77 K25 GMC High Sierra.   The problem with these type of sliders leaking, is due to them not completely closing properly resulting in a same gap between the panels. Another common leak area, is if the latching trim piece seperates from other side(towards that sides glass), thus casing a leak due to the gap(s).

BTW: Cool to see one of those old JC Whitney Locking Fuel Doors still in use 8), my pop added acouple to our Dual Tanked '70 K20 Suburban gas shortage in the Late 70's/Early Eighties. LMK if you two and want part with them ;D

I only have one gas door like that. THat window is not factory my grandfather put it in like a month after he got it. I was wondering why the stock one piece rear window doesn't fit

Hmph looks like your Gramps was able to get ahold of a Factory Dual Slider then, cause that's the same one my truck came from the Factory with, same with my Father's '76 C-20 Silverado :-\  No Worries though.  As for the window being larger than the Solid Glass, I would take your truck along with the new rear window to an Auto Glass Shop and ask them.   A quality Shop will answer your questions for of charge, in hopes of getting your Buisness for that project, or later down the road...

If you have an original glass from any 73-87 pickup all you need is the gasket for it to make it work in the truck.

man i happen to have the same double slider in my 77 chevy. i had just put it in a few weeks ago you are able too use the same gasket  if it is the stock one. as long as you dont split it trying to pull it out. i like it and i dont have any problems with it leaking or anything, but doesnt mean i wont in the future. thats a pretty nice truck you got there overall.

that must have been a factory-original 1/2 ton then.  they never made a 3/4 ton SWB back then.  heck, they've NEVER made a SWB regular cab 3/4 ton except those super short trucks for airport tug trucks.  i had a '78 similar to that...
ironic thing is, your "80" seems to have a '78 front end (round headlights, 78-79 grille) and my '78 had an '80 grille, lol...
