Hey there...would like some feedback on your experience with electric cooling fan assemblies, other than a stock fan clutch type set up. Are they reliable? Here in East Texas, humidity levels are HIGH and July-mid September can be just down right steamy hot. Do they really increase HP as they say? I would hate to spend the $$ and it not be as efficient as the stock set up. Any feed back would be appreciated.

You might gain a couple horses because there won't be a fan on the front of your motor to offer resistance. look around here some I've seen a couple of these threads recently.

try to get one from a donor lincoln town car or a grand marquis and the best thing of all you do not have to do anymodifications at all .... MAN do they blow air. We really enjoyed a vacation on South Padre 2 years ago.......we are gonna try and go back this next spring after the "Spring break" crowd leaves.....thanks for the info....I may look into one from a Crown Vic or Grand Marq, as the flex a lights are a little pricey....Did you wire yours direct to ignition circuit or add a thermostatic switch/sensor?

I have installed on the ignition as of now.......looking to install a temp sensor in the future. ;)

Ive got the Flex-a-lite trimline 16"'s (flows 2500 cfm's) on two rigs with no problems whatsoever. One's a 520+bhp 350, and is keepin' kewl. Easy 30 minute install being lazy. Get the auto thermostat, and never look back...

Man, South Padre is awesome. we go there every summer from San Antone. It is the only section of the tx coast that comes close to the beautiful east coast of florida . Anyway, my boss put one on his 94 SWB. fan sensor everything except the relay for the switch came as a kit at advance. He says it is pretty good. has one also. As far as HP gains go, that might be mostly hype. But, couldn't hurt i guess. It sure does make the engine look meaner.
