Title: Smokin'
Post by: 75 C20 on September 18, 2007, 09:31:56 pm
tonite i finished a quick restr of my 79 c20. when i got homefrom where it got painted i shut it off and noticed smoke comin from out the hood. i popped the hood and it was comin from the air cleaner - so i took the lid off and it kinda seem like its coming up that pipe-the one that goes from the exahust manifold to the air cleaner- the stove pipe or whatever its called. it smoked for a little while. i didnt have the duct piece going from the air cleaner to the core suport which is usally alwasy there- so i dont know if i jsut never noticed it before since that was always on there before or??
it is a 79 with a 350
what would cause this?
it does use a little oil but i think thats mostly from leaking it out onto the ground.
any ideas????
