Figured a thread for preparing these trucks for cold weather was in order since we are looking to have a cold winter...
Things to do/can do to help maintain our babies in the cold:
Check antifreeze/full flush with PROPER amount of antifreeze! Dont forget to flush with the heater on!
Add an electric cab heater
Drain fluids/check for water in drivetrain/swap to synthetics
Add a block heater
Add a transmission "blanket"
Add a radiator "blanket"
Drive it!

I put a bottle of dry gas in every tank full of fuel.

#1 thing= CHECK YOUR BATTERY! In cold weather, if you don't have a battery with enough cold cranking amps you will NOT crank that thing over. also check your choke operation, too much or little choke clearance can really hurt startup. also check tire pressure as well as brake system.

Its a Chevy Truck. Check the antifreeze and drive that sucker. That's all I've ever done. ;D
