Title: Wiring Issues
Post by: BigTree on October 09, 2007, 09:06:44 pm
Hey guys.

Out of no-where my truck has no power with the key in the on position.  Like wipers dont work, the starter doesnt start.  But I can still turn the headlights on and everything that is NOT powered by the ignition system.

If I jump power from my battery to the little distribution block on the firewall with 2 studs (2 wires on one stud) (I believe one is Distributor and the other is to fuse box) It works great.  I can start the truck and use everything.  I have replaced the fuseable link with an ATC fuse holder now, solder and shrink wrapped.

Any ideas where I should be looking?  Thanks guys.

Trevor

check your fusible links a the junction block and down by the starter solenoid. Make sure no wires are chaffed or burned through.
