so i have an 83 c20 and instead of just buying a sticker like everybody else, i took it to get inspected like a moron.....and it failed. they gave me a bunch of little things to fix but the main problem was emmisions. the previous owner had taken out the stock exhaust and put in a dual exhaust with no catylitic converter....so of course it's not gonna pass emmissions. seriously i don't know what i was thinking taking this thing to the inspection station.
so if anyone at all has some stock cats they wanna get rid of, for the love of God let me know!

Good luck finding somone to give/sell you used cats..its illegal to sell em, atleast for a shop..

I picked up a pair of new "universal" cats for the 79 LB that I bought earlier this year from Checker Auto (ordered online). Cost to my door was about $110 IIRC, which was quite a bit cheaper than most places...

I bought 3 inch Catco cats from ebay for 80.00 each. I put dual exhaust on mine.

I can get you performace cats from my exhaust vendor if you are interested. I think they are around $80 apiece + shipping. Haven't sold any in a while and I am not where I can look it up tonight.

I recommend buying them from Chris. He sells good quality parts and it supports this site. I didn't buy my cats from Chris because I bought them before I found this site. :-[
