I am not a sports fan either but I pay attention when the home teams get to the playoffs!

why is it that someone from Boston can pronounce an "R" as in Red Sox, but cannot pronounce an "R" as in Fenway Park, or is it Fenway Pawk?



Go Sox.  I went to Fenway Paawk during our honeymoon getaway in Cape Cod and have always wanted the Sox to kick the Yankees behinds.

I don't know as I am from N.H., not from Boston. I can say Red Sox or roof but I pronounce car caa, Fenway Park Fewnwy Paak, or New Hampshaa.

I'm glad they won. It was getting boring watching them always get their &$%! kicked  ;D
