Title: My 1985 K10 Project
Post by: 85MudMonster on October 25, 2007, 05:53:00 am
Whe I bought it she had stock interior with the bench seat from a K5 blazer in it. From the factory it had a 305 and a 4 spd, at least that's what the build sheet says, it actually has a 350 from an '85 K20 and a TH-350 with a NP208 that leaks like a civ.

Update for my truck, I'll post some pics soon.

I've redone a 1939 Chevrolet t post steering wheel and installed it. I modified the steering column to be more slim and less bulky. I installed new iequus Gauges (I would rather get some old school SW gauges). Anyway, once the steering wheel went in, because it is like 1.5" larger in diameter than the original one, the column shifter hit the back of the wheel, preventing it from goung into gear, so I lopped it off and welded on a 12" flat head screwdriver blade. It looks pretty cool. And when I get some time off, I've got to intall my headers and run my exhaust pipes.

okay, I've gotta finish getting more pics and do some finishing touches on the install. Here's the steering wheel before and after (respectively):
