Wanted to inquire whether anyone knows of any replacement "large displacement" oil filters for the early 350?
-
I use Wix or Nappa Filters, made in the same factory. I can't recall the # of the top of my head but I use a 2 quart filter on my trucks. Same filter that would be used on say C60 size truck with a gas engine.
-
PF35 is the 1 quart filter.

Wix makes pretty good filters. Baldwins are also excellent.
-
The A/C Delco # is a PF932.

The Wix number is 51794 and the one I just bought today cost like $12.50 or something. Worth it though, it is bigger(engine holds 6.5 qts now), does not leak like my Fram and Advance filters did, and it does not sink below the bottom of the pan, so I do not have to worry about breaking it off... cause that would really just suck. I filled mine before installation and it held just about 1.5qts. So I would imagine it holds 2 under pressure.

Yep, been using Napa Gold (Wix) filters on all my vehicles for years. I will never use a Fram, ever. I just use the standard one listed for an early 80s 350 truck.

I second that, I will never use FRAM. Wix, NAPA gold, Purolator, or ACDelco for me. I found this online article very interesting. Engine Oil Filter Study (http://minimopar.knizefamily.net/oilfilterstudy.html)
