What seals the firewall at the heater hoses?
It's hard to see in the picture but I have no seal.

The heater hose holes are oblonged, not round so round grommets will not work.
Thanks for looking.

Pretty sure there is a glob of asphalt type putty formed around the pipes on the inside. The same stuff used at the a/c housing openings around the accumulator on trucks equipped with that. Don't know where you get it, though. I used plumbers putty, but do not like the look of it. It's white and when touched with greasy fingers looks bad.
Maybe someone else knows more...

Maybe use some black RTV sealant?

Butyl Tape http://www.filmtools.com/butyl.html

asphalt stuff will not work. at the body shop we use this stuff called dum-dum. thats just what its called. any autobody/paint supply, maybe even some parts stores, should have it.

Thanks Guys ;D

Butyl tape. its what they used to use to put windshields in with. Some people call it dum dum.
-
its not exactly the same stuff. butyl tape is MUCH stickier and harder to work with.

Butyl tape is dumdum you can get it in round or flat.

Hardware or lumber company's tend to sell the flat stuff more common as it is used for metal roofing.
